I was driving to school and had to stop to take this and many other photos of the sky with the fountain in front of it. It just was sooooooo beautiful. Another person saw me shooting the photo and she was agreeing with me that it was a beautiful day to take a photo. She also happened to be a photographer but I never got her name. I think she may have just been shopping at the grocery store.
I graduated from Governors State University with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art with a concentration in Photography and Digital Imaging. I am also a mother of two. I have gone through very hard times in my life but have made it through mostly everything. My son was diagnosed with Autism in 2009. Some days are harder than others. We make it through! I started going to school after I went through counseling for domestic violence issues that I had with my children's father. I was motivated by some of my family and friends but mostly by my counselors and my fiance. I am truly grateful for those who were there for me through my hardest times and helped me get back on my feet. My son has been progressing with a lot of help from everyone...

My great-grandfather was William A Stark and great-grandmother was Grace Cavanaugh. I have been told that William A Stark was adopted into the Stark family and that my last name would have been Armstrong. If we are related, Norm, it would be through the adoption of my great-grandfather into the Stark family. Interesting :) Thanks again for your really nice comments!!

Thanks Norm for the really nice comments. My grandparents were Audrey Stark and Paul Stark; both have passed. My grandfather served in WWII and was in the planes that went over Normandy Beach. He was lucky to have survived through that because his plane was shot so many times he didn't know how they were still flying. A boot saved my grandpa from getting shot in that war as the bullet lodged itself into his boot instead of hitting him. He always had many stories to tell... I gotta try to remember his parents names...kind of late in the night and I can't remember.

Beautiful and tranquil shot, Verana. Maybe we're related? My family has roots in Illinois and I lived in Evansville, IN, for 25 years. I believe back a few generations there was no "S" on the end of my name, either! :). Anyway, you are a true artist. Keep after your dream! Voted
